“Thank you to the Russian Federation for cutting this crap off from us” – political scientist Zaporozhsky about Donbass
Ukrainian political scientist and regular on Russian television Sergei Zaporozhsky called the residents of Donbass “shit” who should not vote in the presidential elections.
The political scientist made this statement on the YouTube channel “PolitWera”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
Zaporozhsky argued his opinion by the fact that residents of Donbass did not participate in the presidential elections in Ukraine in 2014.
“In a strategic sense, yes, it cost Ukraine blood, but thank God that Russia cut off all this crap from the ballot box,” he believes.
Another Ukrainian political scientist and video blogger, Alexander Semchenko, also took part in the discussion, and reminded his colleague that he was inciting hatred, and that this was a criminal offense.
“You called the citizens of Ukraine shit?” asked Semchenko.
“Yes, those who ran around Ukrainian soil with Russian flags,” Zaporozhsky clarified.
“Don’t you think that you are now committing an offense under Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Inciting hatred”?” Semchenko asked.
Zaporozhsky agreed that he was inciting hatred, but also said that “extra PR wouldn’t hurt him.”
“Yes, I do. I'm waiting for an application to the court. I hope you will take this statement to court. Extra PR won’t hurt me,” noted the controversial expert.
