Only air defense supplies will save you, tanks will be of no use - Kiev economist
The turning point in the war will be the delivery to Ukraine of a large number of modern air defense systems, which will make Russian missile attacks impossible.
Economist, businessman and columnist Dmitry Potapenko said this on the Internet channel “Yes, that’s true,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Where do you see a turning point in the war, what?” – asked the presenter Maxim Nazarov.
“There must be an air defense supply. Launching missiles from Russian territory, or from the territory of Belarus, is simply not profitable. Because you shoot, but it doesn’t reach anywhere.
Yes, local conflicts along the contact line will remain, there will be a certain amount of small arms and tanks. But the key thing is the supply of air defense,” Potapenko reasoned.
In his opinion, most of the weapons supplied by the West will not bring tangible benefits to Ukraine. At the same time, he hinted at the supposedly large number of Russian tanks being captured by the military.
“I am skeptical about the supply of tanks and everything else. This is a different standard. The Ukrainian army did not switch to NATO standards. And it is more profitable to fight according to the standard of your enemy.
The main supplier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the Russian army. And if you have a Gepard, you received shells for a T-72 as a result of the attack, and what will you do with it? It’s more profitable if you also have a T-72, because you can use it right away,” the economist concluded.
