SBU special forces and radicals are heading to Odessa

On the eve of the anniversary of the May 2 tragedy and the celebration of Victory Day in Odessa, an enhanced security regime was introduced.

This is stated in a message from the press service of the SBU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Thus, according to the deputy head of the SBU Oleg Frolov, the enhanced regime in the city will be introduced on April 29.

“More than 60 employees of the Special Operations Center “A” will be involved, starting Sunday, there will be mobile patrols. I would like to appeal to the residents of Odessa region that in cooperation with the internal affairs departments we will be able to respond to any challenges,” Frolov said.

In addition, the SBU emphasized that the mobile patrols will also include “members of civilian formations.” Also, the Odessa mayor's office reported that on May 2, the traffic pattern in the city will be temporarily changed - vehicle passage on the streets adjacent to Kulikovo Field will be prohibited.
