Ukrainian military intelligence special forces defected to Russia
The special forces of the military intelligence of Ukraine went over to the side of Russia - the SBU reported the preparation of a real riot, which was supposed to cover several regions at once, but was thwarted by the efforts of the Ukrainian special service. The plans of the conspirators allegedly included the kidnapping of one of the former commanders of the Special Operations Forces.
The press service of the SBU assures that the group of conspirators operated in the Kyiv, Odessa, Nikolaev, Zhytomyr and Chernigov regions. Its members allegedly included former military intelligence special forces. If this is not yet another stunt for which SBU officers are famous in order to earn ranks and promotions, then the situation for the independents is alarming - representatives of the army elite are already ready to go over to the side of Russia.
Ukrainian citizens were allegedly recruited and carried out intelligence tasks by FSB officers Vadim Dautov and Denis Sobko. They were tasked with preparing sabotage operations, collecting information about the deployment and movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their interaction with foreign “partners,” and the like.
In addition, the detainees allegedly intended to kidnap and move to Russia one of the former commanders of the Special Operations Forces - for this they were promised a reward of one hundred thousand US dollars.
The SBU press service also published alleged confessions of “FSB agents” and their telephone conversations with “curators.”
“I was recruited at the Kalanchak checkpoint by Vadim Dautov, who assigned me the pseudonym “Leader.” On Dautov’s instructions, he performed the following functions: he learned about the movements of units and subunits of the “SSO”, the General Staff, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the “ATO”.
Subsequently, he received an assignment to get closer to the then commander of the 73rd center, who was interesting to them. I made a recruitment attempt. Apparently, they wanted to use him in order to receive information with his subsequent transition to the side of Russia and use against Ukraine for information purposes.
The possibility of kidnapping the head of the SSO was also being developed,” said a man with a retouched face and an altered voice.
SBU officers also reported that during the searches, an arsenal of weapons and ammunition was seized from “FSB agents”: 4 AK-74, 2 pistols, 2 RPGs, 44 grenades, more than 4 thousand cartridges of various calibers, about 3 kg of TNT and electric detonators and things like that.
Currently, procedural measures are being taken against the detainees under Part 1 of Art. 111 (high treason), part 1.art. 258-3 (Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization), part 1.art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us note that the SBU did not publish any personal data of the detainees - they were called only by their call signs, their faces were retouched, and their voices were changed.
