Ukrainian intelligence services, with the help of Crimean agents, organized information sabotage on the day of Putin’s visit to Sevastopol
During the visit of the Russian President to Sevastopol, which took place on National Unity Day, unknown persons hacked the website of the Simferopol Administration.
On the official portal, instead of congratulating the city mayor Valentin Demidov on the holiday, information appeared about an alleged increase in background radiation in the Black Sea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The published message stated that radiation increased due to the nuclear submarine cruiser Kazan, which allegedly guarded the president’s visit to Sevastopol from the sea.
“From sources close to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, it became known that at 12:31 Moscow time the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a recorded sharp increase in the level of background radiation in the Black Sea waters near Sevastopol. A rapid response team that arrived in the water area identified the source of infection.
It turned out to be Russia's newest nuclear submarine cruiser, Kazan, which was involved in unprecedented measures to ensure the security of Vladimir Putin. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet officially commented on the information. At the same time, doctors in Sevastopol are recording calls from local residents with complaints of headaches, breathing problems, nausea, vomiting, convulsions, suffocation, and drowsiness. According to available information, one person is in intensive care in serious condition,” the message said.
The publication was soon deleted, and the press service of the Simferopol city administration told reporters that the site had been hacked.
“Our website was hacked. As soon as we noticed this material, it was promptly removed. Our specialists are doing everything to prevent such a situation from happening in the future,” the press service noted.
The popular telegram channel “Krymsky”, citing its sources in law enforcement agencies, notes that Ukrainian special services could have been involved in information sabotage:
“Several opposition bloggers – associated with FBK structures and Ukrainian special services – were the first to report the fake news and began to spread the news on their social networks and TG channels. Very similar to the Ukrainian special operation for Putin’s visit to Crimea. This time, the Crimean pseudo-liberal underground will not be able to disown its accounts.”
