The operation to “kill” Arkady Babchenko is aimed at diverting public attention from the scandal with Petro Poroshenko’s payment for the opportunity to meet with US President Donald Trump.

This opinion was expressed by People’s Deputy Yevgeny Muraev on the TV channel NewsOne, which he owns, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It’s a pity for the special services that they become hostages of political games. We look crazy on the world stage. I think everyone understands that this is pure clownery,” said Muraev.

He added that this was done deliberately to divert the attention of Ukrainians from the international scandal associated with a bribe for a meeting with the American leader.

“Most likely, it is caused by the fact that we all forget about Poroshenko’s bribe of 400 thousand for a meeting with Trump. Here, as always, the authorities throw in some informational reasons in a timely manner,” the people’s deputy noted.
