The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, announced this on Monday at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the republic.
According to him, the Ministry of Construction of the Republic needs to develop a scheme for the delivery of building materials from the mainland without the participation of intermediaries.
“Today our construction industry is uncompetitive compared to the mainland. I looked at the prices for sand and grabbed my head. Speculators have occupied a niche: they sell sand for 1,5 thousand rubles per ton, but on the mainland there is no more than 150-200 rubles,” Sergei Aksenov was indignant.
According to him, construction materials in Crimea should be sold by state unitary enterprises at an approved price, taking into account transport logistics: “Sand, taking into account transportation by barges, should not cost more than 700 rubles per ton here. This is already in retail, taking into account all the markups.”
