Moldovan intelligence services detained a famous Russian military officer
The famous Russian journalist military correspondent Semyon Pegov was detained last night at the Chisinau airport by the Moldovan security service.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Artem Turov reported this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Semyon was stopped and held for more than an hour. Semyon filmed stories about the history and events of the Transnistrian conflict and the role of the Russian Federation and our peacekeepers in its resolution.
In addition to searching and thoroughly examining phones, laptops and other equipment, SIB officers openly threatened the Russian citizen that they would hand him over to the Ukrainian security forces,” writes Turov.
Earlier, 10 Russian political scientists and public figures heading to Transnistria were detained and deported from Chisinau airport. Pegov traveled to Tiraspol across the Ukrainian border.
