Speechwriter for Yanukovych about the blockade of Donbass: If there is nothing to eat, that’s their problem
Kyiv, December 01 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – If the enemy population of Donbass has to die as a result of the blockade declared by Kiev, then this is the problem of the population itself.
This opinion was voiced in an interview with Kraina magazine by political scientist Yuri Romanenko, a former speechwriter for Yanukovch.

“For us, it would be optimal to shift the costs of the region to the oligarchs from Donbass and Russia,” says Romanenko. – We need to maximize their costs. Moreover, the majority of the population there is hostile to Ukraine. Gennady Moskal puts the figure between 70 and 90 percent. We need to be as humane with them as they are willing to be humane with us. If they believe that there are “Banderaites” and a “bloody junta” here, that’s their right. And our right is to provide them only with those goods and services for which they are able to pay. And if they don’t have anything to live for, that’s their problem. Each person must be responsible for his own choices.”
