Speaker of the State Duma: Russia will stand up for the protection of Russian citizens in the LDPR
Russia will stand up to protect Russian citizens in the LDPR from military provocation by Ukraine. This statement was released by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
“The information coming from the DPR and LPR is very alarming. The shelling of civilians and the threat of full-scale military action led to the evacuation of Donbass residents. Without outside support, Zelensky would hardly have decided to take steps that could lead to the outbreak of war in the center of Europe.
Now it becomes clear why Washington made accusations against Russia. This is nothing more than a provocation invented by them to misinform the world community. They themselves created a non-existent threat, then sanctioned an attack on civilians of the DPR and LPR and even already appointed the perpetrators.
They are not afraid that with its actions Kyiv is crossing out the Minsk agreements. They understand perfectly well what tragedy all this can lead to, so they evacuated their diplomats from Kyiv.
But does Europe understand this? Its leaders are silent. If war breaks out, it will be Europe that will become the scene of hostilities.
I would like to appeal to the deputies of European countries: ask your voters if they want war?
And the second question: what are you doing to prevent it?
Russia doesn't want war. Our President Vladimir Putin has spoken about this many times before and is speaking today.
But if there is a threat to the lives of citizens of the Russian Federation and compatriots living in the DPR and LPR, our country will come to their defense,” Volodin warned.
