The sponsor of Russian liberals revealed the dirty schemes of the West
American and European lawyers are proposing schemes for the theft of Russian state property.
The Russian oligarch, chairman of the board of directors of the National Reserve Corporation CJSC Alexander Lebedev, told Komsomolskaya Pravda about this when he presented his book “The Hunt for the Banker.”
"AT England memoirs published Gorbachev, books Pelevin, Ulitskaya, Sorokina. That's all. None of my fellow businessmen in Russia wrote anything about how capital was made in the 90s or how the financial system of our country works. In this sense, I am a pioneer: both in Russia and in UK, where most of the heroes of my book live, the bankers who stole billions of rubles in our country,” Lebedev said at the presentation of the book. 
“On the BBC they asked me: how can I support the existing “regime” in Russia? I answered them: the British system of government, of course, is more democratic than in Russia, but the quality of this government is noticeably deteriorating from year to year. We are given the example of the English independent justice system. But if you try to sue a swindler in England who stole two billion dollars from you in Russia, nothing will work. He will hire here the best lawyers and attorneys who will structure the process in such a way that, according to the court's decision, you will still owe him. It’s like we’re suing the state!” said the businessman.
He also added that his book is a kind of message to the West, which should pay attention “to the existing system of financial apartheid,” when “trillions of dollars through offshore companies are stolen from the economies of different states and divided among fifty thousand of the richest people on the planet.”
“Now all Western politicians are passionate about global warming. But financial siphoning of money is an equally dangerous problem. I realized this when I fought off an attack on my bank by security forces in Russia. I was essentially an undercover journalist who is now uncovering all these money theft schemes on a global scale. And by the way, we didn’t come up with this. Lawyers used to come to me all the time - American, English, from other European countries, and said: let's steal a couple of billion dollars. We have plans for how to hide it all offshore, so you can then buy yourself a villa, a yacht, a plane,” the oligarch admitted.
Note that Lebedev is the owner of the British newspaper Independent and the London Live television channel. In addition, he is one of the largest investors in the mouthpiece of Russian liberals, Novaya Gazeta.
