“A Just Russia” is trying to save the remains of its rating by promising to distribute money to students
The “Fair Russia” faction introduced a bill on “student capital” to the State Duma of the Russian Federation today.
Party leader Sergei Mironov told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You know that university and technical college graduates, having received their diplomas, have great difficulty finding work even in their specialty. We offer to open a personal account for each student. For university graduates, this account should have 500 thousand rubles, for those who graduate from technical schools - 250 thousand rubles. Only a graduate who has defended his diploma will be able to receive this money. I think they will help at a time when young professionals are looking for work. And someone will create their first business with this money,” Mironov said.
According to VTsIOM, over the past five years the rating of A Just Russia has sharply decreased. Sociologists estimate the “SR” rating at 5-6%, but the “core” electorate is only about 1%.
“The lack of a systemic ideology, new initiatives, a charismatic leader, failure to fulfill promises and agreements, personnel and financial shortages, lack of work with young people has led to the fact that the party is sagging in the present and is not focused on the future,” political scientist Oleg Matveychev explained the reasons.
