Central Asia is under soft Chinese influence - political scientist
The countries of Central Asia are under the influence of China, which makes it impossible, in particular, for the Americans to come to Uzbekistan in the event of a change of power in this republic. The arrival of Islamists is unlikely.

Political scientist Yuri Solozobov stated this on the radio station “Moscow Speaks”.
“I would not talk about the anti-Russian, but about the pro-Chinese vector. The Chinese presence is very strong in Central Asia. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are actually Beijing's clients. This is a good option for us, because a destabilized or pro-Western Central Asia is much worse for Moscow than under Chinese influence,” Solozobov said.
According to him, thanks to China, the transport and political connectivity of Central Asia is changing.
“Uzbekistan has signed an impressive modernization program with China. China is building railways there. In 16 months, a road to Bukhara was built for 0,5 billion dollars, along which trains travel at a speed of 250 km per hour. The largest tunnel in the post-Soviet space has been built, which connects the Fergana Valley with Uzbekistan,” said the political scientist.
