Urgent modernization of air defense systems: analyst explained how to stop shelling of Donetsk
In order to effectively counter the shelling of Donbass territory by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia urgently needs to improve the Tor and Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems currently in service.
Military expert Maxim Klimov stated this on the Internet channel Roy TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Klimov, the radar stations of these complexes make it possible to detect such objects.
“What needs to be done now is those radar stations of the Tor and Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems - to carry out improvements to ensure their use, including as counter-battery warfare radars. I will emphasize that this is not only to solve the problem in Donbass, it is a factor in the survival of our military air defense.
This topic has been discussed among specialists for a number of years, but here you just need to make a decision. That execution that the Ukrainians carried out on Donetsk... I don’t know what else needs to happen for our leaders to mature to this. Technically, radar provides this. Moreover, this applies not only to radar stations,” Klimov said.
