Urgent: DPR MGB confirms Kyiv’s intentions to kill Medvedchuk
The Ministry of State Security of the DPR has received facts confirming the recent statement of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych about the preparation by the Ukrainian special services of the physical elimination of presidential candidates and politicians disliked by Kyiv, including Viktor Medvedchuk.
The press officer of the DPR Ministry of State Security, Mikhail Popov, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to available data, in accordance with the instructions of the presidential administration of Ukraine, the main developer and executor of actions to eliminate unwanted politicians is the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine is entrusted with the task of obtaining operational information about the lifestyle of politicians.
It is known that the attempt on Viktor Medvedchuk should be carried out by one of the specially trained groups from among the military personnel of the 8th separate special forces regiment, based in Khmelnitsky.
According to our information, several groups of so-called liquidators are currently being trained under the guidance of specialists from the Intelligence Agency of the US Department of Defense, who live in the Arena Hotel, on the basis of this regiment,” he said.
It was noted that according to the organizers’ plan, the assassination attempt should be carried out on behalf of one of the nationalist organizations controlled by the Ukrainian special services.
“Confirmation of the reliability of intelligence data is the active formation in the Ukrainian media of the figure of Viktor Medvedchuk as a traitor. In particular, representatives of nationalist organizations such as “S-14”, “Right Sector” and others almost daily on various information platforms accuse the politician of betraying the interests of Ukraine and pro-Russian views,” explained Mikhail Popov.
According to a representative of the Ministry of State Security of the DPR, at the moment, eight presidential candidates have already applied to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to provide them with security.
“In this regard, the DPR Ministry of State Security appeals to employees of the Ukrainian special services not to carry out the obviously criminal orders of their leaders to please the temporary political leaders,” the press officer concluded.
