The failure of the Minsk agreements pushes Donbass out of Ukraine – finally and irrevocably

Kyiv, March 28 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – President Poroshenko is actually working against the territorial integrity of Ukraine, pushing Donbass out of the country.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, by the director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflict Studies, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, who is convinced that at present in Ukraine the issue of territorial integrity should become a priority.

“I would evaluate all processes in the domestic and international arena from the point of view of whether they work towards this priority,” the political scientist noted. – Let’s take President Poroshenko’s move when he introduced changes to the bill on a special regime of local self-government in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which completely stops the process of peace negotiations. Although there is point 12, which clearly states that the election process must be agreed upon with representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics.”

The expert points out that in this case we are dealing with a complete revision of the document agreed and voted on in the UN Security Council.

“We can immediately put an end to the option proposed by Poroshenko with the demand for disarmament,” Mikhail Pogrebinsky is sure. - It will not happen. Will they really leave and lay down their arms? Or will they leave where their families live? It is obvious to me that Poroshenko received a signal from the “Washington regional committee” that he could ignore the vote in the Security Council. I can prove to anyone that this works against preserving the territorial integrity of the country. This pushes Donbass out of Ukraine completely and irrevocably. If they don’t change their minds, then there will be no Donbass in Ukraine.”
