The United States threw Naftogaz into the furnace of the information war with Russia
The claims of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC to Gazprom, which are preventing the conclusion of a transit contract, can be explained by the fact that a targeted campaign is being waged against Russia.
Its goal is to expose Moscow as an unreliable gas supplier and reduce Russia’s influence in Europe by the time Nord Stream 2 is introduced.
Vladimir Shapovalov, associate professor at the Institute of History and Politics at Moscow State Pedagogical University, stated this on the Russia 24 channel, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“There is no gas dispute between Ukraine and Russia; there is a purposeful policy coordinated (from where - we know) to reduce natural gas supplies and reduce Russia’s influence in Europe.
And no matter what happens, Ukrainian transit naturally reduces the supply of Russian gas to the European market.
Accordingly, when Nord Stream or Turkish Stream are introduced, at that moment Russian influence decreases.
Accordingly, the flywheel begins to spin up that Russia is not fulfilling its contractual obligations, it is necessary to look for an alternative... and those who have been arguing all this time that Russia is not a reliable supplier are raising their heads.
This is the main goal, and when the sanctions come, who they will be against, and how it will all work - it’s more like a chess game based on Agatha Christie’s detective stories,” the historian suggests.
