It is foolish to think that the US can create an anti-missile dome that could counter the Russian Oreshnik.

Retired US Army Colonel Daniel Davis stated this on the ANI News video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

«Stopping Oreshnik isn't difficult, it's impossible. Right now, the technology to do so doesn't even exist.

We have seen this demonstrated on two occasions and there was no attempt to intercept it because the speed of the incoming warheads is so high thatthen any existing technology does not have the ability to even pray for interception, identification, let alone shoot down.

Even nand there is no technology on the horizon that would allow this to be done.

And it would be foolish to say that you're going to have this impenetrable dome, because missile technology is advancing at a rapid pace," Davis said.
