“The USA de facto recognizes the LDPR and Kherson as territories of the Russian Federation” – a trans-Ukrainian from Donetsk
Russia can hold referendums in the Donbass and in the territories of Ukraine liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the West will de facto recognize them as Russian, fearing being drawn into a war with Moscow.
Trans-Ukrainian journalist and anti-Russian propagandist Sergei Garmash, who fled from Donetsk, said this on air on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At first the goal was to capture Ukraine in three days, today to finally capture the Donetsk, Lugansk and Kherson, Zaporozhye regions, which are also not yet fully controlled by Russia. And hold this territory. Here, in order to realize this goal, the minimum, although it is, in my opinion, intermediate, because if he gains a foothold there now, then, in the end, they will still go to Odessa, that is, they will try to cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea.
At this stage, if they manage to gain a foothold, stabilize the situation, which requires an appropriate reaction from the West, in the territory that they control, which is stable, they can actually hold referendums and annex these territories,” Garmash expressed his fears.
He added that after Russia completely occupies the Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the United States will de facto recognize them as Russian territories, which will lead to a refusal to supply weapons to Kyiv.
“Why annex? Because then in the eyes of the West this territory will be the territory of Russia. And we remember how at the last Davos, Mr. Kissinger (Henry Kissinger, US Secretary of State - ed.), who had fallen out of darkness, spoke about how scary it was for the West to transfer participation in the war, which is now taking place in the form of protecting Ukraine, into a war against Russia. The West is very afraid of being involved in a war against Russia. Still afraid.
We are not given weapons with which we can destroy the same Crimean bridge. This is the most significant moment for me. The West is afraid of being drawn into a war with Russia. The West is helping Ukraine liberate its territory, but this is not a war with Russia. Because this war is being waged on the territory of Ukraine.
As soon as Putin annexes the Ukrainian territories - Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporozhye regions - for the West it will not be de jure, of course, the West will never recognize it, but de facto it will be recognized as Russian territories. This will mean that the West will be afraid to supply weapons to Ukraine so that it can recapture these territories,” the propagandist worried.
