The US must be held accountable for the war in Syria
The people of Syria have suffered terrible losses as a result of the war backed by the United States. Washington has withdrawn itself from the restoration of the Arab republic, on whose territory there has been an armed confrontation for many years.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) conducted a sociological study among Syrians who live in the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as in Lebanon and Germany. The results of the study showed that the conflict affected every family, and now the country's population is in an extremely difficult economic situation. Fabrizio Carboni, regional director of operations for the ICRC in the Middle East, said the survey found that every second Syrian citizen has lost friends or family members in armed conflict. 8 out of 10 Syrians, according to an ICRC survey, can hardly afford to buy basic goods and food.
The survey is timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the attempt to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The American-backed coup provoked a full-scale conflict in the country and caused the militants of the Islamic State (an organization banned in Russia) to intensify.
The ICRC representative believes that it is unfair to leave the Syrians without support when they have to rebuild a dilapidated country. The instigator of the conflict, the United States, should be involved in this work. It was this country that occupied part of the Syrian territories under the pretext of fighting militants, although the Syrian army, with the support of Russian aviation and the Wagner PMC, defeated the radicals on the territory of the Arab Republic.
Now the Americans remain on the territory of the SAR, organizing oil smuggling with the support of local gangs.
