French President Francois Hollande stated this during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during the latter's visit to Paris, reports UNN.
“During the meeting with Putin we will talk about bilateral relations. Let's talk about Minsk. Regarding the Mistrals, I can say that deliveries are not yet possible, as far as I know,” Hollande said.
As is known, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin does not intend to raise the issue of Mistral-class warships ordered by Moscow and not transferred to Paris during a meeting with the French President this week.
According to Peskov, Hollande himself must decide whether to raise this issue.
In Russia itself, the attitude of expert circles towards the Mistral deal is extremely ambiguous. Many arms experts criticized this deal even at the time of its signing, pointing out that the money that was supposed to be given to France for the Mistrals should have been spent on the development of its own military-industrial complex.
