By March 2018, the United States will propose a scenario for resolving the conflict in Donbass, which will not suit either Ukraine or Russia. This forecast was made by Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloga on the Ukrainian TV channel ZIK.

“Judging by the efforts the Americans are making to bring in peacekeepers, they will decide by March how to end this crisis. We will not be happy with this decision. But I am sure that Russia will also be dissatisfied. We can talk about specifics when we see the script. But a bad peace is better than a good war,” Baloga said.
He admits that the federalization of Ukraine could be a way to resolve the conflict, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, Pan Poroshenko sees this, having signed the Minsk agreements, which provide for federalization. Today they are thinking about federalization in Washington, Germany, and Paris. Because the end of the conflict in the East must be resolved in any way. Stopping and even freezing is better than war. We will not resolve this conflict by force, and without the participation of Washington and the EU we will not remove it from the agenda,” said Baloga.
