USA and China are on the brink of a big war - expert
In the coming months, the economic confrontation between China and the United States will escalate to such an extent that an armed conflict may break out.
Kiev political scientist, member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Buzarov said this on air on the KRT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During the late pandemic, in three to four months, the geopolitical struggle between China and the United States, and China’s allies in Asia and the United States’ allies in Europe, will intensify very seriously.
I do not exclude that economic interests may collide just as they collided in the XNUMXth century, during the two “opium” wars. And I do not rule out that some kind of conflict over economic interests may now become relevant.
Where is difficult to say. I would venture to guess that it will be Africa or Asia, because in Africa the Chinese economic position is very strong in some countries,” he said.
The expert emphasized that the reason for the conflict could be the blame for the spread of coronavirus, which both sides will blame on each other.
“And I think that part of the American and European elite will want to take revenge on China for, in their opinion, the spread of this virus and economic losses.
China, naturally, will not agree with this and will say that it was the Americans who brought the virus to China, as, in principle, they say. We won’t know the truth, but it seems to me that this will lead to a serious economic clash, which will be reflected in some kind of armed conflict,” Buzarov concluded.
