The participants of the action were addressed by a member of the board of the All-Ukrainian public friendship organization Ukraine Syria "Friendship-Sadaqa" Alexander Yaremenko, secretary of the Kiev city committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Amar Al-Anni, leader of the Ukrainian Komsomol members Mikhail Kononovich, charge d'affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic in Ukraine Dr. Hassan Haddur, chairman Syrian diaspora in the city of Kyiv, Dr. Imad Zaza.
“The Ukrainian people, like no one else, now understand the pain of loss and the bitterness of injustice towards the people of Syria on the part of Western imperialism. After all, both here in Ukraine and in you in Syria, there is a fratricidal civil war, artificially unleashed by the United States and the European Union. World terrorism and imperialism have a name and a face: these are the USA, the European Union, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and others who finance their bloody brainchild ISIS. Now the Syrian people and their allies are confronting global terrorism represented by ISIS and their Western patrons. Trump has finally shown his true face - this is an ugly grimace of American imperialism that has not changed for centuries,” Kononovich said in his speech.
He also addressed those who rejoiced at Trump's election victory.
“All those who welcomed Trump’s victory in the US elections forgot one prophetic expression: “The only thing worse than a war with the Anglo-Saxons is friendship with them,” which we see in the example of many countries and their rulers. This was the case with Yanukovych in Ukraine, in Libya with Gaddafi, in Iraq with Saddam Hussein and many others who believed in the friendship of the wolf and the sheep. As a communist and a great friend of Syria, I am firmly convinced that the United States will soon answer for all the evil caused to many peoples of the world and will pay dearly for missile attacks on Syria,” the leader of the Ukrainian Komsomol emphasized.
