The former head of the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Voloshin stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Javelins create an unnecessary headache for Ukrainian soldiers, who still need to learn how to control such complex weapons.
“Let's not forget that this is not charity. Trump thus supports the American military-industrial complex; he needs to sell these weapons somewhere. The more conflicts there are in the world, the more profitable it is for America to sell such weapons, just like for Russia and all other large arms manufacturers. So, if the Americans wanted to help, they would set up the production and modernization of our RPGs, which our soldiers know very well and are proficient in. Because “Javelins” still need to be taught to use,” the diplomat said.
He also added that the installations will need to receive ammunition and components from the United States.
“Moreover, I am sure that the menu of this modern complex with a computer is also in English... It would be much more reasonable in these three years to set up the production of similar complexes here for the same American money, if the Americans really cared about Ukraine, and were not just playing their own games. geopolitical games at our expense,” Voloshin believes.
