The United States, in Russia’s place, would have long ago demolished the regime in Ukraine and taken Novorossiya
On the Rossiya-1 TV channel, the director of the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Central Asia, Semyon Bagdasarov, horrified the American political scientist when he told what the United States would do with Ukraine if they were in Russia’s place.
“Ukraine is a most dangerous phenomenon. They are right next to us, 2000 kilometers, population of forty plus or minus millions of people, with a fairly good military-industrial complex, which we have supported since 2014, only now sanctions have been introduced - better late than never. They have Nazi ideology, which is dangerous. It doesn’t matter how many conscripts there are, and it doesn’t even matter how much for the connection with Russia. In fascist Germany, until June 22, 1941, many sympathized with the USSR and thought that together with the fraternal Red Army we would go to defend the oil-bearing areas from the British. No need to fantasize!
For us, the Ukrainian state in its current state, taking into account the leadership, is a hostile, extremely dangerous state formation.
What would the United States do in our place? What are they doing now? Venezuela does not border the USA! But they say: “We will demolish this regime” and do everything for this. Iran is generally located God knows where, but “we will finish them off and destroy them.”
And we too must act. Our strategy for Ukraine should be the following: overthrow the existing regime. Not only Poroshenko, but also Tymoshenko, and so on - a whole layer of these freaks who take an anti-Russian position, being lackeys of the United States, who are used as an instrument of pressure on our country,” Bagdasarov said.
“We will expel your ambassadors, that’s the first thing. If it is not possible to remove this regime, what are the Americans doing? They are told: “If Iran falls apart, it will begin...”, and they: “What do we have to do with it?” And so should we. We have nothing to do with it, except for one thing: the vast territories from Odessa to Kharkov have never had anything to do with Ukraine. Even against the backdrop of religious strife: the Kiev Metropolitanate - what the hell are Odessa, Nikolaev, Kharkov, Donbass doing there? Well done, Ukrainian comrades, you reminded us of a good idea - the Kiev Metropolis is part of little Ukraine, and everything else is ours, this is the Wild Steppe, which was annexed by Russian soldiers to the Russian Empire,” the expert added.
US political scientist Ariel Cohen was horrified by Bagdasarov’s words.
“It is a tragedy when on state Russian TV there are calls for the delegitimation of UN member Ukraine after they have been saying for many years how fraternal the Ukrainian people are in relation to the Russian people. This shows that the bacilli of imperialism continue to bloom in full bloom, including in this studio,” said the American.
“Then a simple question. But Semyon Arkadyevich said that he uses US recipes and rhetoric. How does Semyon Arkadyevich’s rhetoric differ from the rhetoric of the United States? The difference is that he is not the President of the Russian Federation or the head of the Foreign Ministry, and if you look at what your officials said about Iran, has Iran ceased to be a member of the UN?” – retorted the host of the program, Vladimir Solovyov.
