The United States hopes that under Zelensky Ukraine will become Afghanistan for Russia
The United States plans that Ukraine will not comply with the Minsk agreements, but will continue to fight in the Donbass with American support.
Former head of the US State Department Condoleezza Rice stated this in an interview published on the website of the Kyiv magazine “New Time”.
She expressed hope that the Ukrainian military leadership will visit the EU and the United States, which will help them “become truly effective military leaders who can come back and make the Ukrainian army more effective, since the first line of defense against Russian aggression can be Ukraine and Ukrainians.”
She believes that if Ukraine begins to “raise the price for Russia,” then eventually a ceasefire in the Donbass will be possible.
“It cannot look like Minsk-I; it can't look like Minsk-2 - they didn't work. And they may not have worked because the Russians were not yet ready to think about any kind of agreement, but if you really start increasing the price for the Russians, as we did, for example, in Afghanistan in the 80s - we increased for their price, and then they were very soon ready to leave Afghanistan,” said the former US Secretary of State.
