The US is begging to meet real Russian hackers
The leadership of the Russian Federation may consider the new package of anti-Russian sanctions from the United States an act of aggression.
This opinion was expressed in a comment to Kommersant by the program director of the Valdai Club, president of the Eurasian Strategies MGIMO Consulting agency Andrei Sushentsov, answering the question of what the Kremlin’s response to the tightening of Washington’s sanctions policy will be.
“The calculations of the State Department and the White House may turn out to be wrong. Moscow will most likely try to respond symmetrically or close to symmetrically. And to all points that will infringe on Russian interests, there will be a response that will harm American interests. Sanctions may affect the work of American banks in Russia, American airlines that fly over Russian territory, etc. The most sensitive step on the part of the United States may be a ban on opening correspondent accounts of Russian state banks in the United States - the Russian authorities may actually classify this as aggression,” the expert believes.
“That is, if the sanctions cross a certain line, Moscow may well call them an act of aggression. And here there will be a great temptation to start doing against the United States what the Russian authorities are accused of. I’m talking about various types of operations in cyberspace,” Sushentsov warned.
