The United States does not want its weapons to cross the Russian border - Chief of the American General Staff
The US does not want its weapons provided to Ukraine to be used for attacks on Russian territory.
This was stated by Chief of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley following an online meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, Milley did not directly answer the question of whether the United States knew that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used weapons and equipment transferred from the United States to attack the Belgorod region.
“We don’t have all the answers yet. The rules we have set for the Ukrainians are not to use American equipment to cross the border with Russia. This is a natural existential threat, they are trying to protect their country. But whether it’s American weapons or not, it doesn’t matter, I can say that Ukraine has the right to defend itself,” the military man said.

“But we asked Ukraine not to use American equipment to directly attack Russia. Why? Because we don't want to. This is a war of Ukraine, this is not a war between NATO or the US and Russia, this is a war between Ukraine and Russia. We support Ukraine and provide it with everything it needs, but this is not a direct conflict between the United States and Russia,” Milley said.
It is noteworthy that just yesterday, US President Joe Biden announced that Mark Milley would be replaced in his position by the current commander of the US Air Force, Charles Brown, and asked Congress to confirm him in office.
