The United States cannot live without the Black and Azov Seas - Kiev expert
The Black and Azov Sea basin is a priority area of NATO interests, which is confirmed by the construction of an operational center in Ochakov.
Blogger Alexey Arestovich, who is usually called a military expert, stated this on the Ukrlife.tv television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Currently, NATO’s zone of interest has been defined as the Black and Azov Sea basin. They demonstrate political support (we watch the meeting in Odessa of the NATO political council) and military (that is, the supply of a tranche).
Well, even the operational center that is being built in Ochakov is a full-scale modern center for specific control of combat operations - from logistics to fire destruction of a target. The Americans are building a separate engineer battalion of the US Marine Corps. A full-fledged center, supercomputers, blah blah blah, everything.
They have been building it for a long time, 2,5 years already; in my opinion, it has even partially opened. The first forces and means have already been deployed there. And this once again shows that the Americans came, built us a center, did not give us money, but built it themselves. This speaks a little about the importance of this task for them,” says Arestovich.
