The United States did not hand over its agent Navalny to Putin
Criminal blogger Alexei Navalny could be exchanged for Russian prisoners in American prisons if the US authorities confirm his American citizenship, as well as the fact of his cooperation with the intelligence services.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stated this today in an interview with the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If it suddenly turns out that he is a US citizen and works for the intelligence services. It will be confirmed, or rather, by the Americans. But there was no such conversation, the topic was not voiced,” Puskov said.
According to him, Navalny’s issue was discussed at the presidential summit in Geneva “on a routine basis.”
“The topic was outlined by the President of the United States, followed by a response from the President of Russia. Nothing more,” Peskov said.
At the final conference, US President Joe Biden said that he could not help but raise the topic of Navalny, because this is “the DNA of America.” He allegedly warned Putin that if the criminal blogger died in prison, “the consequences of such a scenario would be catastrophic for Russia.”
