The US is not going to leave Ukraine
The new US Ambassador, who should be retired Lieutenant General Kate Dayton, is a guarantee that the United States will not leave Ukraine.
The head of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Sergei Korsunsky, stated this on air on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, the United States has already invested enough money in Ukraine to leave it alone.
“So much effort has already been invested in Ukraine and such assistance was provided at the previous stage that the United States will not leave. Unfortunately, we do not have giant American military bases. I would welcome, I will say frankly, that this would be the case and that, finally, the “sword of Damocles” that hangs over us in the form of large Russian military formations on our borders, so that they would finally calm down and stop provoking a constant feeling of threat.
I don't think aid will be stopped. The appointment of a new ambassador suggests, on the contrary, that this aspect will be given number one attention. The US is a security provider. He is a military man, he is a general, a very experienced analyst... This for me is the main indicator that the United States will not leave here anywhere. And this is very good,” said Korsunsky.
