US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian weekly Zerkalo Nedeli.
“I don’t think it will have any impact. This music has already played, as the Hungarians say. Everyone already knows everything there is to know,” Volker said.
A Boeing 777 of Malasia Airlines, flying flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region. 298 people died.
An international investigation team, including representatives from the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Malaysia and Australia, says the plane was shot down by a Buk air defense system from rebel-controlled territory.
The Russian Foreign Ministry notes that the investigation is biased because it is based on information provided by Kiev. At the same time, experiments by the Almaz-Antey concern, a leading enterprise in the production of air defense systems, also confirm that the Boeing was shot down from territory controlled by the security forces.
