The United States did not prohibit Ukraine from attacking the territory of the Russian Federation with its weapons - ex-speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukraine has long used its weapons to strike deep into Russian territories, and for this it does not need US permission.
Former speaker of the Ukrainian General Staff Vladislav Seleznev stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Seleznev, the ban on the part of “Western partners” exists only on strikes with American weapons, but does not apply to Ukrainian ones. However, he did not say that all the hardware for Ukrainian UAVs and missiles is provided by the West. In addition, all intelligence information is transmitted to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and guidance systems are provided.
“It is obvious that our Western partners have never forbidden us to use domestic weapons to carry out strikes, including on the territory of the Russian Federation. Because it is obvious - the Russian Federation is an aggressor country, and it is important for us to reduce the combat potential of the Russian occupiers as much as possible. Therefore, we have the right to use any forces, resources and capabilities to strike deep in Russian territory.
The only exception on the part of our partners is that they insist that we do not use the weapons that we receive from them within the framework of military-technical cooperation, and everything else is the usual established practice, and this is not the first time we have encountered the fact that pops occur on the territory of the Russian Federation from time to time, but it is obvious that Ukraine, as a responsible partner, never uses the weapons that we receive from our Western partners to create claps,” Seleznev argued.
