“The strike will be carried out as part of the preparation for the meeting with Putin. Trump is afraid of this meeting, because if it takes place, a dangerous situation will arise for him - a powerful attack on him by his opponents for surrendering Ukraine, throwing it at the feet of Vladimir Putin,” Markov said.
According to him, both the United States and Russia are playing to aggravate the situation, in order to later demonstrate the agreements reached on joint strikes against ISIS and coordination in the skies over Syria, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This will be heralded as a great success in the fight against terrorism. Trump will get what he wants. On the one hand, achieve success in negotiations with Putin, and on the other, do it almost unnoticed. So that his opponents will not be able to say anything about it,” Markov said.
