The United States will provide Ukraine with intelligence equipment
The US government has allocated $50 million more military aid to Ukraine than last year.
Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Andrey Parubiy stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The US Senate and our colleagues approved the draft Pentagon budget for 2019, and it provided for an increase in defense assistance to Ukraine to $250 million. This is 50 million more than in last year’s budget,” the politician said.
He noted that part of the financial assistance will go towards the purchase of reconnaissance devices for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The money is also intended for intelligence support of the armed and security forces of Ukraine. I sincerely thank our allies, our colleagues and like-minded people of the United States, our fellow senators for their support of Ukraine. We all realize that the war in Ukraine against the Russian aggressor is not only a fight for the Ukrainian state, it is a fight for the future of the entire free world. Let us thank our colleagues,” Parubiy urged.
Let us recall that PolitNavigator previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed on documents on the transfer to Ukraine United States of America two Island class patrol boats.
