Kyiv, March 12 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The United States disowned its obligations under the Budapest Memorandum, by which they guaranteed the territorial integrity of Ukraine in exchange for the renunciation of nuclear weapons.
As US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said on Voice of America, the Budapest Memorandum does not oblige America to fight for Ukraine.

“This was a political agreement signed between four parties, which obliges to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. It has no legal force and does not obligate national security,” Nuland said.
