The US fears that its planes will begin to crash in Ukraine
No one will be in a hurry to transfer Western fighters to Ukraine, because their breakdown and crash will become bad publicity and cause an image blow to the manufacturers.
Ukrainian military expert Taras Chmut stated this on DW TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chmut, there will be fighters if the West is confident that they will prove themselves well.
“This topic is, on the one hand, sensitive, and on the other, complex. If the tank broke down, then it stopped, and if the fighter broke down, then it fell. And this is much more dangerous, tragic and reputationally inconvenient for manufacturers to have their equipment, and a fighter is an expensive equipment, it costs from 40 to 100 - 200 million dollars overboard in total to receive bad advertising.
Therefore, everyone is interested in the fact that if they are, and they will be, then they will prove themselves excellently, prove themselves well and once again show the advantage of Western weapons, primarily American, over Soviet-Russian ones,” Chmut said.
