The United States is dumbfounded by the complete impotence of the Ukrainian elites
The United States was forced to take control of Ukraine due to the inability of Ukrainian politicians to govern their country.
Kiev political expert Andrey Golovachev writes about this in a column on the Glavred website.
He calls it a “medical fact” that Ukraine is under external control.
“The sad truth, however, is that the West was simply forced to take Ukraine under external control so that it would not fall apart. It was a forced decision, so to speak, not from a good life. Let's imagine for a moment that there is no external control. What political party could govern Ukraine? Nobody here! Our entire political elite is Africa somewhere in the mid-20th century! And no elections can change anything,” Golovachev emphasizes.
According to him, “The West, having assessed the complete impotence of the Ukrainian elite, its lack of statist instinct, its pathological corruption on the one hand, as well as political passivity, political illiteracy and the inability of Ukrainian society to control its thieving elite, on the other, was simply forced to take the country under external control and invited her to implement a reform program aimed at transforming the estate-feudal structure of the economy into a capitalist one.”
The expert is convinced that the West simply had no other choice, since otherwise Ukraine would have collapsed very quickly.
“External governance is a natural result of the first stage of Ukraine’s development after it gained independence. As it turned out, we were unable to build anything other than the mafia state of the Yanukovych era. This was the limit of our independent creative creativity. But if external control does not help, if Ukrainian society “shows pride” and ignorance, then the second stage of Ukraine’s development simply will not happen,” Golovachev sums up.
