The US made a mistake in choosing its proxies in Ukraine
The actions of the United States, represented by Victoria Nuland, who oversaw the events on the Maidan, led to economic devastation in the country.
Spiridon Kilinkarov, a member of the Communist faction, said this in the studio of the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If people on Maidan knew what the leaders would do to the country, they would have been hanged right on the stage. Don't underestimate Mr. Yatsenyuk. This is one of the few politicians who monetized the Maidan for personal gain. The fact that he became a millionaire is significant. The specificity is that during the period of his premiership it was necessary to resolve issues with the former elite, that is, who and what to return, where and what to arrest. He came at the right time and the right place,” said the politician.
According to him, the Americans expected that they would appoint a representative of one political force to the post of president, and a representative of another to the post of prime minister, in order to supposedly establish a balance of interests.
“But in fact, the proteges simply agreed and began cutting the budget together. Greed won over common sense, and as a result, Yatsenyuk was pushed out. There were different people standing there. Many of them believed that those speaking on stage wanted to defeat corruption and change the country. But there has already been a coup in Ukraine twice and people don’t draw any conclusions,” Kilinkarov concluded.
