The head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Stanislav Shevchuk, was denied a US visa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Kiev publication UNN, citing its own sources in diplomatic circles.
According to the publication's sources, Shevchuk could lose his American visa due to the political involvement he showed during the presidential elections in Ukraine, as well as the repeal of the article on illegal enrichment of officials.
The publication is trying to confirm or refute the information of its interlocutors about the refusal of an American visa through the US Embassy in Ukraine.
Ранее PolitNavigator reported thatthat in March 2019, three judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine - Mykola Melnyk, Sergey Sas and Igor Slidenko - demanded the resignation of Stanislav Shevchuk from the post of head of the Constitutional Court. Shevchuk, among other things, was accused of manipulating cases and politicizing the activities of the Constitutional Court. In addition, according to Ukrainian media, Shevchuk’s brother, Rulav Odd, appears in criminal proceedings for the theft of budget money.
