The US is preparing to launch a cyber strike on Russia early next year. The President of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, Colonel General Leonid Ivashov, stated this on air on the Russian TV channel Tsargrad.

“I believe the presidential election campaign could take a pretty big hit. The strike operation is being prepared here, and North Korea is a distraction,” Ivashov said.
He claims that on May 12 of this year, the American cyber command carried out a test strike on Russia.
“I called it a command post exercise. The attack was carried out on Russian control points, control systems, and the transport system. They claim that we repelled him, but it was a command and staff exercise. They checked how we would act, what means to use,” the expert said.
He believes that false calls about mining, which have been heard in many Russian cities over the past week, are also “reconnaissance in force.”
