“The United States doesn’t understand differently” – Mikheev suggested that the Kremlin demonstratively take Ukraine into circulation
US representatives will try to “distract” Russian diplomats at security negotiations, so the strategic goal for Russia is “not to be deceived.”
Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on the air of the Vesti FM radio station, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What I like about the rhetoric of our officials is that it has become much harsher. Our attempts to play systemic diplomacy in the style of “they can afford it, but we shouldn’t” are completely pointless. They failed time after time.
Now the rhetoric has become tougher, I think we are strong in this. We are strong precisely in a direct blow, and not in this endless wobble. It is at these moments that the West begins to historically fear us. As soon as he feels that he can really get in the eye, oops, he goes to negotiate.
And when we try to show that we also know how to express ourselves in a florid way, they ignore us because they do not feel in danger and consider themselves stronger in this regard. And indeed, in the art of breeding, they have no equal in the world,” the expert noted.
The main element of the “divorce” in the current negotiations, in his opinion, are statements about the “Russian invasion” of Ukraine.
“As for me, no invasion ever began. Maybe it would be for the better - if it had started or continued in some form. If Ukraine is so important to the United States, then in the absence of any progress on the part of the Americans and willingness to discuss what we proposed, I think the Ukrainian direction should become one of the main ones in our foreign policy.
We must make more efforts to change the situation in Ukraine, and not shy away from any methods. In the end, Americans don’t shy away from it,” Mikheev concluded.
