The USA is approaching the borders of Russia, the budget is 16 times larger than the Russian one
The US military budget in 2020 will reach almost $750 billion for the first time. This is comparable to the total annual military budget of all countries of the world and is 16 times higher than the Russian one.
The head of the military department, Sergei Shoigu, stated this at the board of the Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The North Atlantic Alliance is implementing the US anti-Russian initiative “four by thirty.” It is expected to have 30 mechanized battalions, 30 aviation squadrons and 30 warships ready for use within thirty days.
As of December 1, full completion was achieved for the land component, 76% for the air component, and 93% for the sea component. According to our estimates, full implementation of the “four by thirty” concept is possible by 2022.
The readiness of carrier aircraft to use nuclear weapons is planned to be reduced from 10 days to 24 hours.
American air defense radars for detecting air targets have been deployed in the Baltics. They allow us to control our airspace to a depth of 450 km.
Every year, the NATO bloc in Europe conducts up to forty major exercises that have a clear anti-Russian orientation.
Compared to last year, the intensity of air reconnaissance near our borders has increased by 33%, and sea reconnaissance by 24%.
Tests of medium-range missiles conducted by the Pentagon in August and December confirm the fact that the United States developed missile systems prohibited by the INF Treaty during its validity. The next logical step will be the deployment of such missiles in Europe and the East,” Shoigu said.
