The US gave Ukraine $10 million for cybersecurity
The United States of America will provide $10 million to strengthen Ukrainian cybersecurity, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell after a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
“We also discussed cybersecurity issues. I can say that we will double the amount of assistance towards strengthening cybersecurity from $5 million to $10 million,” Mitchell said.
The US Assistant Secretary of State is visiting Kyiv today, after which he flies to Tbilisi.
Let us recall that the United States approved a bill “on cooperation with Ukraine on cybersecurity issues,” aimed at promoting active interaction between Ukraine and the United States in the field of cybersecurity in the context of “countering Russian hybrid aggression.”
