The US gave Ukraine money to fight online scammers
The US State Department in Ukraine has allocated money to launch a national program to combat cybercrime. It will start working in October this year.

In the last six months alone, the police have recorded about 9 thousand cybercrimes in Ukraine. Of these, only one and a half thousand cases were solved.

The police said that cybercriminals are mostly former prisoners. They use phones with different SIM cards for their scams. In particular, this year they managed to steal 27 million hryvnia.
“In other countries, you can go to jail for up to 15 years for a crime with cards. And all we have to do is pay the fine. This is the problem that we will try to solve,”
