The newspaper draws attention to the fact that Kiev is following the path trodden by Chisinau, when in the negotiation format for resolving the Transnistrian conflict, in addition to Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE, the EU and the United States were included as observers, which ultimately strengthened Moldova’s position aimed at weakening the role of Moscow.
“In the Ukrainian case, the inclusion of the United States in the negotiations will strengthen Kyiv’s position and weaken the influence of the remaining negotiators who insist on implementing the Minsk agreements. With the support of the United States, Ukraine will abandon them completely. The situation in Donbass will become even more complicated,” NG concludes.
