The US continues to search for the “hands of Moscow”
In a scandalous interview with the US President released yesterday Called Joe Biden a killer Russian colleague Vladimir Putin, the US intelligence report does not provide evidence of Moscow's alleged interference in the American elections.
The director general of the Russian Council on International Affairs, Andrei Kortunov, said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is noteworthy that the US intelligence report attributing attempts to Moscow to influence the outcome of the 2020 elections appeared after the previous administration stated that there was no serious interference in the elections by Russia. Thus, the topic of “Moscow’s hand” is becoming the subject of an ongoing internal American dispute, in which President Biden is trying to disavow the position of his predecessor,” the expert told Kommersant.
According to him, this story has more of a political than a legal context, since there is no evidence of alleged Russian interference in the 2020 elections in the US intelligence report.
“Any intervention involves the targeted use of certain techniques and technologies to target a specific target audience. For example, such tools can be fake accounts that send bot messages. However, certain articles or statements that express arguments for or against Donald Trump or Joe Biden do not in any way fall under the category of interference,” the political scientist believes.
He also says that Russia’s inclusion on the same list with Iran, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Cuba and Venezuela, while the list of external forces that tried to influence the outcome of the elections does not include today’s main adversary of the United States, China, makes the document even more unreliable.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian Ambassador left Washington after Biden's offensive statements.
