The United States continues to successfully kill the chemical industry of Ukraine and Europe - Kiev expert
For eight years, the West has been “rubbing in” that Ukraine should switch to market-based gas prices, which in the end, with great success, turned into one big rip-off of the Ukrainian population and business.
Kiev political scientist Yuri Romanenko, wanted in the Russian Federation for calling for the murder of Russians, stated this during a conversation with Ukrainian oil and gas market expert Andrei Zakrevsky on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Zakrevsky spoke about the purposeful policy of the United States - to do everything so that European countries cannot compete with the Americans in anything.
“A ton of methanol is made from a thousand cubic meters of natural gas. What should the price of methanol be in Europe at the moment? It is clear that if the price of gas is two thousand dollars, then at least the cost of methanol per ton should, in theory, be two thousand dollars.
Nothing! The price of methanol is now calculated only in the American spot at $380 per ton. Because Europe stopped its chemical plants. It cannot work when in America methanol costs $380 per ton. Let me remind you that in America a thousand cubic meters of gas costs $150, this is liquefied, and in Europe liquefied gas next year will be sold for $800 (according to Zakrevsky’s own forecast - ed. .).
That is, now, just as Firtash killed the Ukrainian chemical industry due to cheap gas prices. Thanks to the cheap price of gas, Firtash became a chemical king, that is, he received Central Asian gas for $60, while in Ukraine gas cost at least $150. He opened the doors to the production of chemical fertilizers and said that I have gas at 60, and I can dump as much as I want, you will never buy gas at 60 dollars. And Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin kindly allowed Firtash to buy gas from Central Asia at such a cheap price.
Now chemical production, the primitive production of fertilizers, when, for example, methanol is made from fertilizers or only ammonia is made, has died in Europe, because they cannot compete with the price of $150 in the USA per thousand cubic meters of gas,” Zakrevsky said.
Romanenko summed it up, bitterly stating that the Ukrainians “torn themselves out” as a result.
“When we were bullied in recent years, 8 years, about the fact that we should switch to the market value of gas prices, it turned into a big rip-off from the population and business. Because our chemical industry and related ones were being killed, we did not have cheap raw materials and were tearing ourselves apart like Sidorov’s goat,” Romanenko summed up.
