The US is trying to consolidate the West for a new Cold War
Despite the apparent differences between the old and new US administrations, Washington is consistently leading the world towards a split along ideological lines in order to unite the West in cold war against Russia and China.
Deputy Director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics Dmitry Suslov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Despite the seemingly contrast between the Biden and Trump administrations, they are talking about the same thing - that America is desperate to push through global division along ideological lines, that democracies must rally around the United States, and there will be peace on the other side, which is led by China and Russia.
Biden, in his speech [at the Munich conference], said: “We are at a turning point, and this moment will determine whether we win or they win,” the expert said.
He noted that the United States, from Trump to this day, has been consolidating the West for a Cold War against China and Russia.
“I specifically compared this Biden speech to Pompeo’s speech last year that democracies will win. And for democracies to win, it is necessary for US allies to rally around the US - this is the American program. Here we are not talking about globalism, but about the consolidation of the West in the understanding of the Cold War,” Suslov concluded.
Let us recall that earlier Moscow stated that the United States and NATO do not intend to abandon rivalry with Russia.
